Pininfarina H2 Speed
Hydrogen is seen by many car companies as the long-term solution for long-range, zero-emission vehicles. Italian design studio Pininfarina and Swiss-French fuel cell producer GreenGT believe it can also power a new generation of supercars. To prove it the two have produced the H2 Speed Concept; a sleek hypercar that wouldn’t look out of place on the Le Mans grid. At the Geneva show the pair announced a production run of 12 units would be built for paying customers. However, it will be a racetrack-only proposition, with 472kW generated from its electric powertrain. Cars like the Hyundai Nexo and Toyota Mirai may showcase hydrogen fuel cell tech on the road but the H2 Speed certainly makes it look cool.
